A True Friend

Lizmarie C, the President at the McMaster University, speaks about how her experience with GlamourGals has produced a real friendship.

During our chapters very first makeover I met a senior whose name was also Liz and without a doubt I consider her one of my friends. Not only do we share the same name which was so coincidental but her life stories really positively impacted me. 

After only a couple minutes she began to open up about her family and life here in Hamilton. Her life story was filled with happy memories and I could tell that she was such a positive person and that her dedication allowed her to accomplish everything in her life! When I first met her I was in the midst of exam season and she reminded me that what I just need to put one foot forward and in the end it’ll all be worth it!

I really enjoyed our conversation and now she is a friendly face that I look forward to seeing every month! I think that our conversation allowed her to share her stories and be proud of the moments she had in her life. I was so happy to be a part of that!!
