Questions!

What's everyone asking?

Do I already have a chapter at my school?

If you think you might already have an existing chapter at your school, use our 'Find a Chapter Near You' search box at https://glamourgals.org/student-volunteer

Can I start a GlamourGals chapter at my high school or college?

Absolutely! GlamourGals chapters are open to high school and college students across the U.S. and Canada. The process is the same whether you're in a high school, college, or university. You're on our pre-registration page. Take our quiz to prepare for registration!

What leadership roles are needed to start a chapter?

Every chapter needs at least a Chapter President (who takes the lead in organizing) and one additional leader. You can have up to 4 chapter leaders: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Public Relations Officer. Focus on finding people who are genuinely passionate about the mission and committed to the success of your chapter!

How do we find a senior home to partner with?

Our team will help guide you through finding a local senior home or center to connect with. You can start by researching facilities in your area, or take our Pre-Registration quiz above to unlock resources and tips to help you make that first connection. Many senior homes have an Activities Director — they're typically your best point of contact.

Does the advisor have to be a teacher?

The advisor must be a school staff member (not a parent or guardian). An advisor is required for all high school chapters. While an advisor is not required for college chapters, it is highly encouraged; please check with your school for their policy.

What does the $150 registration fee cover?

Your registration fee supports: access to the GGChapters volunteer portal, program supplies for senior home visits, training resources, eligibility for national campaigns like My Dear Friend and the Glammy Scholarship Awards, and ongoing support from GG National.

Can we fundraise for the registration fee?

Absolutely! Many chapters fundraise to cover this — it's a great first leadership activity. Bake sales, spirit days, or reaching out to local businesses for sponsorship are all popular options. Your advisor and school can help support these efforts.

When is the registration fee due?

The $150 registration fee is due November 1, 2026 for all chapters. You can pay immediately via Zeffy credit card, or pledge to pay by invoice (due the same date). If you need more time or financial support, reach out to us at startachapter@glamourgals.org.

Does GlamourGals allow chapters to operate with two co-presidents?

The official GG Chapter leader roles are: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Public Relations Officer. We are only able to officially recognize one leader per role.
