Over the past 2 months, my chapter made 180 #MyDearFriend cards, and during this past winter break, we were able to deliver them to every resident at not 1... but 2 retirement homes! This was huge for us as it was just our first batch of cards. Lauren and I were able to go to the Bristal of Westbury and the Bristal of Garden City right before winter break and hand-deliver them. It was so rewarding to see the staff so excited to distribute them to the seniors. We're both so beyond impressed by all the hard work put in by our volunteers both in and out of school in order to hit that 180 goal. We plan on making 180 cards every month to continue supporting both homes. In order to do this, every volunteer pledged to make at least 10 cards. I'm so proud of my chapter for making this commitment! Also, we're very eager to explore additional ways to connect with the residents at both homes and are looking forward to possibly some fun activities planned in the future! It's been so rewarding seeing all our work and dedication pay off and we're thrilled for the rest of the year of GlamourGals
