Writing Valentine's Notes for Seniors

Today I joined a card writing event with people from different chapters. I write cards for seniors at every opportunity I get. I love that GlamourGals hosts these events in almost every season or holiday. I also love being part of a community where we help each other help others. What encourages me to make these cards is imagining the senior's reactions when they receive them. Making a card is an easy task, so sometimes it seems like it wouldn't have much of an impact on the lives of others. However, I realized, through this club, that little things have the capability to brighten someone's day. When I'm making cards I imagine seeing a smile from across the face of whoever reads them. Not only do writing cards help brighten someone else's day, but also my own. Sometimes helping others is the right kind of medicine for a bad day.
