Blooms of Joy
Hailey C. from the Chantilly Area Chapter reflects on a visit that blossomed into something truly special.
Volunteering at GlamourGals taught me the value of creating meaningful connections through small, thoughtful gestures. During one memorable visit, we made wire flowers, which the seniors joyfully wrapped around their wrists as vibrant bracelets. I learned how creative activities can spark joy as each senior placed their flowers in unique spots, like hair accessories or pinned to their clothing. Observing their enthusiasm, I gained insight into empowering others to express themselves. This experience deepened my appreciation for the power of community and shared creativity. It also showed me how simple acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact on both volunteers and seniors.
