Shannon Murphy is a high school Mathematics and Computer Science Teacher. She has an MAT in Mathematics 7-12 from Stony Brook University and a BA in Mathematics from CUNY Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College. As of March 2023, she will also be certified to teach Yoga and SEL (Social-Emotional Learning). She is passionate about teaching adolescents, as well as empowering girls who are interested in STEM fields.

Shannon began her involvement with GlamourGals in 2015 as a summer intern, then as a part-time program assistant. After continuing to volunteer with GlamourGals, she had the honor of joining the Advisory Board in 2020. She loves everything that GlamourGals stands for, and is proud to support such a wonderful organization.
