Nearly a decade ago, I left South Carolina and my sweet tea behind, packing my dreams—and an ambitious, NYC-closet-ready wardrobe—into my trusty little blue car. Fresh from The Art Institute of Charleston with a BFA in Fashion and Retail Management, I headed to New York City ready to make my mark as a buyer. But, as life often does, it took me on an unexpected path. Between runway dreams and retail realities, I discovered my true passion: beauty—and I haven’t looked back since.
Today, I serve as Director of Digital - Activation & Innovation for L'Oréal’s Professional Products Division. My work involves driving TikTok Shopping growth, leading UX/UI and SEO projects with D2C brands, and supporting consumer research to truly understand beauty buyers. Before rejoining L'Oréal, I honed my digital expertise at Saks Fifth Avenue, Fresh (LVMH), The Body Shop (Natura), and Kiehl’s (L'Oréal), where I first stepped into the beauty world. From launching global campaigns to spearheading cost-saving SEO strategies, I focus on creating seamless, engaging online experiences. Along the way, I earned a master’s in Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing from FIT, which deepened my passion for this vibrant industry.
My journey was profoundly shaped by bold kindness. Six months after graduating, while searching for work in Charleston, a chance conversation with the Marine Layer general manager led to a store position in NYC’s West Village. His empathy gave me both a foothold and the time to pursue my dreams. Inspired by that generosity, I now dedicate myself to mentoring others and giving back, knowing how much a single “yes” can change a life. I live by two guiding quotes: “You can have everything you want as long as you help enough people get what they want” — Zig Ziglar, and “When you get a seat at the table, pull up a chair for someone else” — Louis Desforges, a L’Oréal colleague and mentor.
