Who can participate?
8th graders (13-14 years old) in the continental US
Can I do this alone or with friends?
Both! You can write cards on your own or invite others to join by hosting a card-writing party. Whether it’s solo or with friends, every card makes a difference and hosting a party is a great way to reach even more seniors while having fun together!
Can I get service hours from this?
Yes! You earn service hours from writing cards. For every five cards that you write, you earn one hour of service.
How do I find a senior home near me?
You can simply search for assisted living or retirement homes near you and find some in your area. Be sure to cross reference the confirmed senior home list to ensure that you are not reaching out to homes already on the list to receive cards.
Is there a deadline?
Yes, the final day to sign up is November 15th, 2025
