What I am most excited for as a GlamourGals volunteer!

Grace M., a volunteer at the Amador Valley High School, writes what she’s looking forward to for the new service year.

As a GlamourGirls volunteer, I am most excited for the connections I am going to make; not only with the seniors in residential care, but also with my fellow volunteers! I think this program is an amazing way to hear different people's stories, and create new outlooks on life, while making friends. I believe the connections I make through this chapter will leave a lasting impression on who I become, and will teach me life skills from others who've shared their experiences. This program will connect with people that I may have not thought to reach out to on my own, and will force me to step outside my comfort zone in order to build my confidence and express even more empathy towards others. Overall, I believe this experience will spark conversations and connections that mold me into the best version of myself.
