First Meeting With the Seniors

Amelia C., a NYC iSchool volunteer, shares her chapter’s first experience interacting with the seniors on Zoom. They had a blast getting to know each other and playing trivia games together!

Today we had our first interaction with the seniors!! It was such a beautiful moment and it made me happy to see my friends also be able to interact with each other and the seniors as well. We played 50's-70's music/Hollywood/history trivia and my favorite was "Guess that Tune" where we listened to some songs from the time and competed with the seniors to guess. They aced it of course, but I was able to get 2 points for my team (the chapter), with two Frank Sinatra songs. Since we weren't able to do any makeovers we chose to start the meeting by saying our favorite nail polish color and some things about us. It was an unforgettable meeting and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to be part of it.
