Glamour Galentines

Tomi A., a University of Florida volunteer, expresses gratitude for being able to connect with other chapter members while making gifts for seniors during a virtual Valentine’s Day themed #MyDearFriend card-writing event.

For Valentine's Day, my chapter decided to create an event called Glamour Galentines. For this event, the executive board members and I discussed the mission of GlamourGals and ended the meeting with a card writing session for our seniors.

I really loved this event because although it was online, it really felt like we were all together sharing stories and laughing with each other. It was so nice to see all the creativity in the group and really ended up making a nice gift for our seniors.

After dropping the cards off at the senior home, we heard back from the residential activity director that the seniors absolutely loved our cards! This made our meeting even more meaningful and memorable.
