GlamourGals+Volunteer+Story

Today I had a GlamourGals holiday party with the Hebrew home, our local Jewish elderly center, on Zoom! It was unbelievable. We introduced ourselves, shared our favorite makeup, asked them questions to get to know them better, asked them trivia from the 1950s, played a video about what to look forward to in 2021, did a singalong to Frank Sinatra’s New York, New York since we are in fact in New York, and sent them gift bags with makeup products that they opened during the Zoom. It was really fun, and I also was able to explain the premise of GlamourGals, since our first makeover was supposed to be the day after my school closed the last march because of covid. It was really fun and I’m really glad it worked out. Here’s a picture from the Zoom. I also have a picture of me packing gift bags for the women, which had sparkles, flowers, eyeshadow, lipgloss, bracelets, and handwritten cards in them. So happy I was able to keep the GlamourGals idea alive this year! Can’t wait to come up with new initiatives for the coming weeks and months. Thank you, GG National for your advice and help to make this happen.
