First Card Send Off

Lauren K., a Calhoun High School volunteer, dropped off cards that her chapter wrote and shares her experience.

A few weeks ago on Wednesday, December 23 we were able to drop off a batch of 100 cards to one senior home, and 90 to another. I am so grateful for the dedication, hard-work, and creativity of my volunteers because it allows us to connect with a ton of seniors in two different locations! We plan on trying to build up to making more cards so that we can send cards to a few more nursing homes and reach a larger audience. We also plan on setting up a pen-pal program after we get numbers of seniors who would be able to respond. I look forward to the great things 2021 has to offer for this program and putting smiles on seniors' faces!
