Reading Week GlamourGals

Stacey C. a McMaster University volunteer, shares how she spent her reading week and an origami booklet she created for her chapter to send to senior homes. You can see the booklet here.

Our university is currently on its reading week break. This week is the time for university students to relax, catch up on work, and recharge. As president of a GlamourGals chapter and full-time student, I definitely needed this break to get things sorted. This week is the perfect time for me and my exec team to figure out details relating to our upcoming GG events and get everything sorted. We had our exec meeting for the month a few days ago and we figured out a timeline for some events we have coming up which was exciting! We also sent our volunteers an optional way to gain some volunteer hours during the break by making an origami craft to send to the senior home! I have always wanted to try out some origami and I'm hoping a few of our volunteers decide to participate!
