Vice Presidency + Stepping Up + Looking Onwards

Sanjana S., UC San Diego Vice President, shares her journey as a GG leader and how this role has allowed her express her creativity and passion for giving back in various ways.

After designing illustrative social media posts, regaining access to our chapter's email account, creating and sending out New Member Interest forms, reviving our weekly newsletters and extensively reaching out to students in all years who might be interested in joining our organization, we had a successful Galantine's Card Making event! We got two new members added as volunteers to our chapters, and had a wholesome time writing kind Valentine's Day notes for seniors at a local senior home which we hope to resume in-person makeovers with soon. Our first GBM of the year is in the works and now that our leadership is focused, we are ready to advance GlamourGals' presence on our campus. In the uncertain times of the pandemic, we look forward to having in-person and online events to cater to all interested members (20+) to make nationals proud and work towards reducing senior isolation. Another idea that's been on my mind is having socials or joint service events with other organizations on our campus that have the same objectives as us. We look forward to the day where we can all be on campus and in-person, and there is certainty in the ambiance. Until then, GG at UCSD is looking forward to prospering and welcoming new members to unite under the valuable cause we work towards. I am so honored to be Vice President, and looking forward to sharing my ideas to see GG at UCSD bloom!
