Thinking Outside of the Box

Brooke S., Vice President of the Rutgers University chapter, reflects on the transformative journey her chapter has undergone since her involvement, highlighting the significant impact she has made along the way.

“As a GlamourGals volunteer and leader in the Rutgers chapter, there have been many occasions in which I have had to think outside the box! The current president, Juliet, and I were put in charge of this club in May 2022 and at the time, the club had no funding, no consistent club members, and virtually no meetings. We were determined to turn the club around and make sure that during our "time in office", we made this club one that people would join and remember! We love the GlamourGals mission and wanted so many other people at Rutgers to join in and feel empowered by it. We took action over the summer, made some changes, worked hard to plan fun and engaging meetings, and built a lasting relationship with our local senior homes. Since then, we have proudly built up a following that is growing every day, and it's all thanks to the ability to think outside the box, roll with the punches, and face challenges head-on.”  – Brooke S.
