Spreading Love for Valentine’s Day

Ria P., volunteer from the Danville Area High School chapter, shares how she and her chapter spread love to seniors this Valentine’s Day.

On February 3rd, I went to the GlamourGals Valentine’s Day event and we played themed bingo. I also went around the nursing home and gave away free glam kits. We met a nice lady named Mary Ann and it was actually her birthday. She told us she has a pet cat named Francis. Mary Ann was talking about how some of the bingo chips, which were Pom Poms, would be great toys for Francis. I think I’m getting better at talking to the elderly - I talk to them as friends.
