A Day of Crafting and Camaraderie

Ivy L. recently joined their chapter, Union County Vocational Technical Schools, for a heartwarming card-making event. Together, they crafted unique cards while enjoying good company and music.

Last Saturday, I met up with a few members of the chapter for our second card making event. We created 22 cards, each one meticulously crafted with a unique design and message. As we cut out fun shapes and structures, we caught up with each other’s lives and listened to music, including new songs such as Twice’s ‘Strategy,’ and Rosé of BLACKPINK’s ‘toxic till the end.’ The vibes were perfect and making the cards seemed more like free therapy rather than volunteer work! As always, I enjoyed spending time with my friends in a meaningful and productive way. When I deliver the cards to our local senior home next week, I hope our elder friends feel the same joy and love we felt while making the cards for them. I cannot wait to see their smiles again and look forward to many more card writing events!
