Manicures, Bracelets, and Conversations with Ms. Lee

Nicole L. of Bayside High School made a special connection with a senior, as shared in her own words. Request your Bracelet Making Kit today to celebrate Valentine’s/Galentine’s with your Chapter!

My chapter and I made our second visit to The Pavilion for the 2024-2025 service year. During this senior home visit, we enjoyed a fun afternoon of manicures and bracelet making. The seniors all had a wonderful time creating bracelets and getting their nails painted.

I had the pleasure of painting Ms. Lee's nails and chatting with her. She chose a clear nail polish and pink beads for her bracelet. Ms. Lee was unique as she was the only resident that day who spoke Chinese. Originally from Malaysia, she learned Chinese while living there. We discussed her daily routine, including her wake-up time, morning activities, and how she prepares for the day.

She was very interested in learning about GlamourGals, and I was delighted to share information about our organization with her. We had a lovely conversation, and I look forward to seeing her again on our next visit.
