Experiencing Sisterhood
Tiffany L., Vice President of Atlantic County Institute Of Technology chapter, shares the skills, experiences, and family she’s gained through GlamourGals.
GlamourGals has made a lasting impact on me over the past two years. As I became more involved, I realized how meaningful the experience truly was, and I quickly grew to love being part of the organization. I have enjoyed sitting with seniors, painting their nails, and seeing the joy on their faces. This year, I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and applied for a leadership position. I’ve gained valuable skills in organizing events, working as a team, and staying focused on our mission to serve and connect with seniors. Being a leader has also helped me grow personally. I never imagined myself in a leadership position before, but GlamourGals helped me discover that I’m capable of more than I thought.
What makes GlamourGals even more special is the sense of community it creates. My chapter feels more like a family than a club. I’ve built strong friendships and learned the value of sisterhood through our shared experiences within the chapter. Without GlamourGals, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. It has shaped me into a more confident, compassionate, and connected individual. Every moment, whether with the seniors or my fellow members, has taught me something meaningful, and I’m truly grateful for this experience.
