Reading Week Origami + New Projects

Grace L., a Mc Master University volunteer, shares new ways her chapter is interacting with the seniors.

Our GlamourGals chapter is preparing an exciting new project: we're planning on creating a printed magazine for the seniors! A group of us are going to each make 1-2 pages. I'm planning a prompts page for journals, which will be a two-page spread in collaboration with another volunteer. I'm excited to be sharing my passion for journaling as a means to gain clarity and understanding of your thoughts. It has helped me more times than I can count.

For a fun side activity, the exec sent us some origami instructions to try during reading week. I was lucky enough to find a colouring book with square pages- perfect for folding. I folded a heart using a butterfly colouring page.
