Why My Dear Friend
Prior to the pandemic, GlamourGals high school and college volunteers had been providing complimentary beauty makeovers, companionship, and conversation for over 20 years. In March of 2020, our programming quickly pivoted. We asked ourselves, how could we continue to reach seniors, now that they needed our support more than ever? That is when our award-winning My Dear Friend note-writing campaign launched.
Since the beginning of our campaign, we have sent over 70,000 notes to isolated seniors. Our volunteers and supporters of all ages brightened the lives of seniors. Write a note today by following these easy steps.
Keep it simple by grabbing a piece of paper and a marker, or get crafty with your design.

Start your note with “My Dear Friend”. This way a note can be given to any senior across the country.
Write a short and sweet message.
Sign off with your first name and state.
Write “GlamourGals.org” on the back of your note.
Once you have notes completed and ready to mail, please log them here. We will send you an email with a senior home address to mail your notes to within 1-2 business days.
The seniors appreciate any type of card! They can be handwritten, done with watercolor, or downloaded from our shop.
You are welcome to log multiple times throughout the length of our holiday campaign (November 1st - December 31st).
