Setting Goals For The Future

Azizbek N., Origins High School volunteer, shares the goals he has set for himself in his future advocacy plans and career path.

I have contributed in positive ways to my school community and to the GlamourGals organization overall. As a current volunteer, I'm proud of taking this opportunity to make an impact on seniors who need emotional and social support. From spending hours at the Chateau Residence with my advisor and other volunteers, I got to understand how to connect and to support the seniors in my community.

Further, I have set realistic goals for the future in my college career as well as in the workforce. From the beginning of my freshman year, I planned to be a leader in helping the community with mental health and anxiety disorders because I realized that there is a lack of social and emotional support for people in the US. Being a volunteer at GlamourGals, I want to further advocacy for mental health.

I became fortunate to reach a career goal for dentistry. One reason I will be a good dentist in the future is that I love to impact people and the community. I care about the health of myself and others more than anything else. Being a dentist is an amazing opportunity for me to be around my community where I enjoy seeing people smile. Finally, I want to be an advocate and a person in society with direct and indirect services.
