Setting Goals for the Year — Bloomfield Chapter Edition

Bloomfield High School Chapter Leaders attended a training call with Alysha, our Chapter Program Assistant, to prepare themselves for the service year and set goals for themselves as well as their chapter.

Alysha provided us with amazing service ideas if we cannot visit the senior home in-person, such as trivia and arts and crafts over Zoom. While these activities do not make up for the unique bonding experiences volunteers receive from in-person visits, they are a way to keep carrying on the GG mission – a pandemic can’t stop GlamourGals. I am excited for our new volunteers to learn how resilient, supportive, and kind GlamourGals is as an organization and a network. I hope to leave behind the chapter in the hands of those equally or more excited than I to be part of GG.

Although I am new to GG chapter leadership, I am a quick learner and always put in 100% to my commitments. I am very passionate about GG and think that senior isolation is a very important topic that needs to be addressed. GlamourGals is a resource that is able to help aid with that, and I am glad I can be a part of it. While in the meeting, there are a lot of goals being set, and I’m excited to put my best foot forward in order to achieve them for our chapter. With the hopes of being able to go into senior homes, I want to give the residents the sense of community that they deserve. School is just around the corner, and there are a lot of different emotions going on right now, but the one thing that I can always depend on is GlamourGals
