Brunch With a Twist

Lauren C., President of new Chapter, Walton High School, shares a fun anecdote about meeting a senior while out for brunch.

While I was out for brunch with a friend, I had a delightful surprise. As we were leaving, I spotted one of the seniors from our recent visit, sitting on a bench waiting for a table for brunch with her family. I couldn't believe it! I approached her and as soon as she saw me, her face lit up. What made it even better was when one of her family members said, "She was just telling us about y'all and how much she loved your visit!" Hearing that filled my heart with warmth. It was a powerful reminder that the little things we do can create a big impact. Seeing her so happy and knowing that our visit meant something to her really solidified my belief in what we’re doing. I realized that our efforts in GlamourGals are truly more than just makeovers. We are helping to build intergenerational connections and foster a sense of community for our seniors.
