Why Sari serves with GlamourGals

Sari Sternschein (she/her), the President of Qosmedix, has been donating disposable makeup applicators to our volunteers for over 20 years!

Sari has been with Qosmedix for 13 years and serves on the Qosina Board of Directors as a board member. Prior to joining Qosmedix, Sari held management positions at both Clarins and The Estée Lauder Companies. She also has a Master of Professional Studies degree in Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing and Management from The Fashion Institute of Technology.

3 Questions With Sari

Why does ending elder loneliness matter to you personally?

"As people age and retire from work, they can sometimes feel like they’ve lost their sense of purpose and connection to the world around them. That can be especially true for residents in elder care facilities, who may be separated from family, friends, and the independence they once had.

I believe we need to keep evolving the way we think about elder care and find more meaningful ways to ensure residents feel seen, valued, and connected. Loneliness can have a profound impact on someone’s emotional well-being, and no one should spend their later years feeling forgotten or alone. I want those years to be filled with connection, joy, dignity, and meaningful moments.”

What's your go-to nail polish color, and what does it say about you?

"Wicked by Essie. It’s a classic with a little edge, confident, timeless, and always reliable. It goes with everything, but it’s not afraid to make a statement, either!.”

What do GlamourGals teen volunteers teach you?

"The GlamourGals teen volunteers remind me of the power of compassion, patience, and kindness. They give their time and attention so generously, and they show that something as simple as sitting with someone, listening to them, or making them feel special can have a meaningful impact.

They also remind me that connection can happen across generations. Their enthusiasm and genuine care are inspiring, and they demonstrate that making a difference doesn’t have to be complicated—it starts with showing up for someone.”
